Aaaaaaaaaand… we’re back! In this month's Closet CheckList Spotlight, we’ll be focusing on white dresses!

If you’re not already a lover of white dresses, I hope that, after the next two minutes, you will be! I can almost guarantee that one LWD (little white dress) will add an instant kickstart to your closet and reduce a TON of stress about getting dressed.

I’m going to go as far as to say that the little white dress is the new LBD (little black dress).

10 reasons the LWD is the new LBD:

It has that clean, easy-breezy feel while still polished and classy.
It’s simple to match, and yes… more so than black! Hear me out, have you ever noticed how abrasive a pink-black orred-black combo comes across as a fashion statement??? However, a pink-white combo is heavenly and a red-white combo has those classic French, “ooh-la-la” vibes!
A white dress is easy to clean. Okay, you think I’m lying? Well, what other color can you bleach the dang stain right out of it? (For which I could not be more graceful.) I definitely am a firm believer inthe power of bleach.
White has a transformative character with textures. It’s a beautiful backdrop for a myriad of textures.
Can you get a more “Americana” look than combining white + denim??? This is such a fun combo and there’s nothing easier than tossing on a denim jacket for a little bit more coverage over a T-shirt or shirt dress.
You can modernize it with metallics. Puzzled???? Well, try it in the accessories! Go for a metallic belt at your waistline or even a flat sandal with metallic details. This can balance nicely with a white ensemble.
White can easily be worn with tights and boots in the winter. Yep, this is not a color reserved for summer (hello, winter whites?) so you’ll still be able to wear it in the chillier months by pairing it with black, navy or grey tights.
It’s party appropriate! White has a dressy but a not so in-your-face vibe, which makes it perfect if you’re not sure how dressed up people will be for an occasion.
It works with a plethora of shoes! Try it with wedges, booties, even a brightly colored flat. It’s the perfect canvas for a fun shoe statement!
White allows your accessories to shine! So many of us don’t take full advantage of using our statement purses, necklaces, belts, or scarves.. Well, the white dress is (again) your perfect canvas! You can get creative and showcase those pieces that are sitting and collecting dust in your closet!
